Websites that changed the world

Websites that changed the world

Amazon used to be a large river in South America - but that was before the world wide web. This month the web is 15 years old and in that short time it has revolutionised the way we live, from shopping to booking flights, writing blogs to listening to music. Here, the Observer's Net specialist charts the web's remarkable early life and we tell the story of the 15 most influential websites to date.

Hat Tip to Locust & Honey

I notice that they don't list my blog or revgalblogpals. Oh well.
What do you think of their list? Do you agree or not? What other websites do you think are influential? Let me know in the comment section.

yep rev gals is influential :) and a lifeline at times.

Laughed at Amazon having been a river in S America - at first Ithought you were going to say they'd changed the name - likethey do with countries and cities. (grin)

Just think in heaven we have a new name - I thought long and hard about that - because here my identity is linked with my name, but I just in heaven I will no longer striving to be Christlike - I will be perfect - and my identity will only be in Him.

Interesting insight for 7 inthe morning don't you think? !!!
